Description

You will build and maintain WordPress web properties, delivering new features and ensuring code quality using an AI-first workflow.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and improve WordPress site features using JavaScript and PHP.
• Create and modify custom WordPress plugins and themes, including bug fixes.
• Partner with stakeholders to turn requirements into technical solutions.
• Enhance site responsiveness, optimize performance, and resolve technical issues.
• Implement an AI-first development workflow using modern toolsets.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience developing WordPress sites or applications.
• Strong proficiency in PHP and JavaScript.
• Direct experience building custom WordPress themes and plugins from the ground up.
• Proficiency in HTML/CSS and knowledge of web best practices regarding accessibility.
• Familiarity with WordPress architecture, including hooks, PHP APIs, the block editor, and REST API.
• Ability to manage tasks independently in high-pressure environments.
