Description

You will maintain and modernize IBM iSeries (AS/400) systems while integrating them with contemporary web services.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain RPG applications (RPG III, RPG IV, ILE, Free-Form) within IBM iSeries environments.
• Optimize DB2 and SQL Server databases through performance tuning and query refinement.
• Implement CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and version control using Git.
• Integrate legacy systems with modern REST APIs and middleware.
• Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and code reviews.

Required Skills

• 8+ years of IT experience with deep hands-on expertise in IBM iSeries architecture.
• Proficiency in RPG programming across multiple paradigms (RPG III, RPG IV, ILE, Free-Form).
• Strong experience with DB2 and SQL Server, including performance tuning.
• Proven track record implementing CI/CD, unit testing, and code review practices.
• Experience integrating legacy systems with web services and middleware.
• Working knowledge of SDLC and Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
