You will build and maintain core application functionality within an established IT environment.

Responsibilities

• Implement and maintain software solutions using RPG (RPG III / RPG IV / ILE RPG / Free-Form RPG) within IBM iSeries environments.
• Design and optimize database interactions using DB2 and SQL Server.
• Integrate legacy systems by building and consuming modern web services (REST APIs, web services, middleware).
• Apply software engineering practices, including unit testing, code reviews, and refactoring.
• Participate in development cycles within Agile/Scrum frameworks.

Required Skills

• 8+ years of overall IT experience with significant hands-on exposure to IBM iSeries (AS/400).
• Proficiency in RPG programming (RPG III / RPG IV / ILE RPG / Free-Form RPG).
• Extensive experience with DB2 and SQL Server, including performance tuning and query optimization.
• 3+ years implementing CI/CD, unit testing, and automated testing frameworks.
• Familiarity with Version control systems (Git or similar).
• Strong understanding of Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) methodologies.
• Experience with Agile/Scrum environments.
• Experience with REST APIs, Web Services, and Middleware integration.
