Description

You will maintain and modernize IBM iSeries (AS/400) applications while integrating them with contemporary web services.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain code in RPG (RPG III, RPG IV, ILE RPG, Free-Form).
• Manage IBM iSeries architecture and system operations.
• Optimize DB2 and SQL Server database performance and queries.
• Implement CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and version control using Git.
• Integrate legacy systems with modern REST APIs and middleware.

Required Skills

• 8+ years of overall IT experience.
• Deep expertise in IBM iSeries (AS/400) environments.
• Proficiency in RPG programming (all variants including Free-Form).
• Strong SQL skills with DB2 and SQL Server.
• Experience with CI/CD, unit testing, and refactoring.
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum and SDLC methodologies.
• Experience integrating legacy systems via REST APIs and web services.

Preferred Skills

• 3+ years implementing software engineering best practices.
• Experience with middleware technologies.
