Description

You will manage the remediation and modernization of Focus and WebFocus programs and reports.

Responsibilities

• Analyze existing Focus programs and WebFocus reports to document specifications and develop remediation strategies.
• Convert WebFocus and Mainframe Focus queries into T-SQL queries.
• Collaborate with database administrators to create database views and stored procedures for report remediation.
• Update Focus programs and WebFocus reports to encapsulate chart of account changes mandated by Florida PALM.
• Refactor mainframe programs to migrate from flat file data sources to database tables.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in program development and report processing.
• Proficiency with Focus and WebFocus.
• Experience with IBM mainframe and Job Control Language (JCL).
• Strong SQL skills and experience with IBM DB2 relational database management systems.
• Ability to convert queries to T-SQL.
• Experience creating financial reports including general ledger, purchasing, or revenue data.
• Understanding of data governance best practices.
• Experience implementing solutions using multiple data sources.
• Analytical skills to design data models for financial systems.

Preferred Skills

• Experience administering the WebFocus environment for dedicated remediation environments.
• Ability to perform knowledge transfer with technical staff.
