Description

You will design, develop, and maintain cloud-native enterprise services for passenger rail transportation systems.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Architect and design IT solutions by performing technical analysis on business requirements and priorities.
• Develop and implement business-critical, high-availability services using cloud-native design patterns.
• Integrate Kafka streams for real-time data processing and event-driven architectures via Amazon MSK.
• Write technical documentation including sizing, external design, and detail design documents.
• Provide production support through problem analysis, resolution, and Test Driven Development.

Required Skills

• 7+ years of relevant work experience or a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Systems Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Strong back-end development with Java v17+ and the Spring/Spring Boot 3.x ecosystems.
• Experience developing REST and SOAP-based APIs.
• Proficiency with Data Access Layers using Spring Data JPA, SQL, and Hibernate.
• Hands-on experience with AWS services including EC2, S3, Lambda, SQS, SNS, API Gateway, and RDS/Aurora.
• Implementation of CI/CD pipelines using Git, Atlassian BitBucket, and JIRA.
• Use of build automation tools such as Gradle and Maven.
• Testing expertise with JUnit, Mockito, PowerMock, Cucumber, and Cypress.
• Knowledge of Twelve-Factor Application Methodology and application security mitigation.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) systems and AWS Step Functions.
• Experience working in SAFe 6.x agile delivery environments.
