Description

You will manage and maintain WebSphere middleware environments across UNIX and Solaris platforms.

Responsibilities

• Administer WebSphere Application Server ND, including instance configuration, health monitoring, and application deployment via admin console or Jython scripts.
• Configure application environments including JVM, clustering, profile creation, JDBC, JMS, JNDI, SIB, and security implementations.
• Manage WebSphere resources such as JDBC providers, Data Sources, J2C authentication aliases, and MQ queues.
• Execute L2/L3 troubleshooting for middleware technologies, specifically addressing IHS, WAS, and plugin issues.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in middleware production support.
• Hands-on experience with WebSphere Application Server ND and IBM HTTP Server.
• Proficiency with Apache and Tomcat middleware.
• Practical experience managing UNIX and Solaris platforms via command line.
• Strong knowledge of J2EE application deployment (WAR/EAR files).
• Experience with performance tuning and monitoring methodologies for WebSphere.
• Technical expertise in J2EE, Installing, and Troubleshooting.
• Ability to manage complex configurations like JDBC, JMS, and JNDI.
