You will manage and maintain WebSphere middleware environments across UNIX and Solaris platforms.
Responsibilities
Administer WebSphere Application Server ND, including instance configuration, health monitoring, and application deployment via admin console or Jython scripts.
Configure application environments including JVM, clustering, profile creation, JDBC, JMS, JNDI, SIB, and security implementations.
Manage WebSphere resources such as JDBC providers, Data Sources, J2C authentication aliases, and MQ queues.
Execute L2/L3 troubleshooting for middleware technologies, specifically addressing IHS, WAS, and plugin issues.
Required Skills
5+ years of experience in middleware production support.
Hands-on experience with WebSphere Application Server ND and IBM HTTP Server.
Proficiency with Apache and Tomcat middleware.
Practical experience managing UNIX and Solaris platforms via command line.
Strong knowledge of J2EE application deployment (WAR/EAR files).
Experience with performance tuning and monitoring methodologies for WebSphere.
Technical expertise in J2EE, Installing, and Troubleshooting.
Ability to manage complex configurations like JDBC, JMS, and JNDI.

Ability to implement production changes within tight schedules while maintaining quality standards.
