Description

You serve as the Subject Matter Expert for enterprise systems and WebSphere administration.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Perform upgrades, patching, and security hardening on WebSphere servers.
• Monitor and optimize application and system performance across multi-tier, multi-platform environments.
• Configure and deploy WebSphere on AIX/Linux platforms and manage containerized deployments (Docker/Podman/Kubernetes/OpenShift).
• Write and deploy shell scripts to automate administrative tasks and manage SSL certificates.
• Support cloud infrastructure deployment and troubleshoot complex integration issues.

Required Skills

• 10+ years administering WebSphere Application Server.
• 8+ years managing MuleSoft, RabbitMQ, Docker/Podman, and Prometheus.
• Strong hands-on experience with Unix/Linux/Windows OS system administration.
• Expertise deploying Containers and Microservices in on-prem and cloud environments.
• Proficiency with CI/CD pipelines including Azure DevOps and Jenkins, and version control with Git.
• Strong knowledge of networking, firewalls, load balancing, and SSO.
• Experience monitoring systems using tools like Splunk and Azure Monitor.
• Experience with high-availability and disaster recovery strategies.
