Description

You will manage and maintain WebSphere Application Server and WAS Liberty environments on z/OS.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Manage installation, configuration, and maintenance of WebSphere Application Server and WAS Liberty on z/OS.
• Integrate WebSphere with middleware including DB2, MQ, and other enterprise systems.
• Monitor application servers and troubleshoot production issues using IBM Tivoli Performance Viewer (TPV) and IBM Monitoring.
• Implement security configurations, including SSL certificates, authentication, and authorization for WAS and Liberty profiles.
• Execute application deployments, patches, and upgrades in coordination with development teams.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of hands-on experience administering WebSphere Application Server and WAS Liberty on z/OS.
• Deep expertise in z/OS and Unix System Services (USS).
• Proficiency with JCL and RACF.
• Strong scripting skills in Jython, JACL, Shell, and REXX.
• Experience with IBM Tivoli Performance Viewer (TPV) or OMEGAMON for monitoring and troubleshooting.
• Ability to resolve complex issues within WAS and Liberty environments.
