You will design, develop, and execute test plans for Wi-Fi routers, extenders, and mesh networking solutions.
Responsibilities
- Execute functional, performance, and stress testing to evaluate range, throughput, latency, and reliability.
- Validate roaming performance using 802.11k, 802.11v, and 802.11r protocols.
- Analyze extender performance regarding coverage optimization, backhaul efficiency, and latency.
- Automate test cases using Python or shell scripting to streamline regression and performance testing.
- Collaborate with development and product teams to troubleshoot network issues and validate fixes.
Required Skills
- 5+ years of experience in wireless networking product testing.
- Strong understanding of 802.11 Wi-Fi standards, RF fundamentals, and wireless security protocols.
- Hands-on experience with Wi-Fi routers, extenders, and mesh networking solutions.
- Proficiency in packet analysis and network debugging using Wireshark and other tools.
- Experience with automation frameworks using Python or shell scripting.
- Knowledge of roaming protocols including 802.11k, 802.11v, and 802.11r.
- Working knowledge of TCP/IP, DHCP, and RADIUS protocols.
- Familiarity with Wi-Fi test tools such as Veriwave, IXIA Chariot, Alethea, or Spirent.
- Understanding of band steering, cloud-managed Wi-Fi, and AP/extender configurations.
