Wi-Fi Test Engineer

Design and execute wireless feature testing for Macintosh computers and other products. Own the accuracy of performance measurements and the reliability of test automation.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain calibrated test beds, including turntables and emulators.
• Design, execute, and document comprehensive test plans for wireless features.
• Identify, reproduce, and isolate bugs using debugging and performance analysis tools.
• Automate test cases using Python to increase testing efficiency.
• Analyze rate vs range loss, throughput issues, and Wi-Fi/Bluetooth co-existence losses.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in software testing for wireless technologies.
• Deep understanding of 802.11 MAC/PHY protocols and MAC protocols.
• Hands-on experience with wireless sniffers and network tools like iPerf and Wireshark.
• Proficiency in Python and Perl for test automation and script execution.
• Strong knowledge of TCP/IP protocols and wireless networking.
• Experience with macOS and Unix operating systems.
• Proven ability to perform debugging and performance analysis.
• Experience with white box testing.
