Description
You will lead engineering investigations to identify, reproduce, and resolve product defects within wireless systems.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with Product and Development teams to define technical requirements for system resources and 802.11 compliance.
- Develop strategies to characterize Wi-Fi behavior in new products and lead root-cause analysis for engineering investigations.
- Communicate with tool development teams to implement automation for new test features across global regulatory domains.
- Review design specifications to ensure validity regarding product architecture, testability, and verification.
- Assist in developing Quality Assurance test philosophies, methodologies, and viable test strategies for product functionality.
Required Skills
- 5+ years of experience in networking and wireless technologies.
- Strong understanding of 802.11 technologies and IP protocols.
- Proficiency with Linux/UNIX environments.
- Hands-on experience with Wi-Fi technology and lab tools/setups.
- Proven troubleshooting and root-cause-analysis skills.
- Ability to identify, reproduce, and drive bugs or defects to resolution.
- BS degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field.
Preferred Skills
- Familiarity with advanced Wi-Fi test automation frameworks.
- Knowledge of industry trends from IEEE, WFA, WBIA, and IETF.
