Description

Lead testing and defect validation for WiFi extender products, driving multiple projects through independent troubleshooting and debugging.

Responsibilities

• Execute performance tests, including rate vs. orientation and rate vs. range, using RF isolation chambers.
• Validate WiFi extender products and perform rigorous defect validation.
• Conduct inter-op testing for CE and CPE devices.
• Present and communicate technical test data to executive management.

Required Skills

• 8+ years of technical experience in WiFi, computer architecture, and data communications.
• Deep understanding of 802.11b/g/n/ac/ax standards and specifications.
• Hands-on experience testing Wireless APs, routers, and extenders.
• Proficiency with traffic generators such as iGen, Ixia Chariot, and iPert.
• Experience with packet debuggers including Wireshark, Omnipeek, and Savius.
• Working knowledge of TCP/IP, UDP, IPv4/IPv6, Ethernet, DHCP, DNS, ICMP, ARP, NAT, bridging, and switching.
• Ability to use UNIX-based systems and command-line tools for analysis and automation.
• Competency in a scripting language of choice.

Preferred Skills

• Knowledge of IoT testing (Zigbee, Bluetooth, Thread) and MoCA.
• Experience with Ethernet in a DOCSIS environment.
