Description

Build and maintain scalable WordPress plugins, themes, and APIs using PHP and AWS.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain custom WordPress plugins, themes, and REST APIs.
• Write clean, scalable, and maintainable PHP code following OOP principles.
• Deploy and manage applications using AWS services including EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, and CloudFront.
• Optimize applications for performance, security, and database efficiency.
• Integrate third-party APIs and resolve technical issues through code reviews.

Required Skills

• 3–5 years of experience in WordPress plugin development.
• Strong proficiency in PHP 7+ and Object-Oriented Programming.
• Hands-on experience with MySQL and database optimization.
• Proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and jQuery.
• Working knowledge of AWS cloud services.
• Experience with Git and CI/CD pipelines.
• Understanding of secure coding practices (XSS, CSRF, SQL Injection prevention).
• Experience in E-learning, Ed-tech, or Publishing industries.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Laravel or CodeIgniter frameworks.
• Knowledge of mentoring junior developers.
