Key Responsibilities

• Develop, customize, and maintain WordPress websites.
• Create and customize WordPress themes and templates from scratch.
• Develop custom WordPress plugins based on project requirements.
• Customize existing themes and plugins while following WordPress coding standards.
• Develop responsive and user-friendly web pages using HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and jQuery.
• Develop and integrate REST APIs and third-party services.
• Work with PHP and MySQL for backend development and database management.
• Troubleshoot and fix website bugs, errors, and performance issues.
• Optimize websites for speed, performance, responsiveness, and security.
• Ensure cross-browser and cross-device compatibility.
• Perform website maintenance, updates, backups, and content-related technical changes.
• Convert PSD/Figma/UI designs into responsive WordPress websites.
• Integrate forms, payment gateways, third-party APIs, and other external services when required.
• Maintain clean, reusable, and well-documented code.
• Collaborate with designers, developers, QA teams, and project managers.
• Use Git/version control for managing code and project changes.

Required Skills

• Strong knowledge of WordPress.
• Strong knowledge of PHP.
• Hands-on experience in Custom WordPress Theme Development.
• Hands-on experience in Custom WordPress Plugin Development.
• Good knowledge of HTML5 and CSS3.
• Strong understanding of JavaScript and jQuery.
• Good knowledge of MySQL and SQL queries.
• Experience working with REST APIs.
• Understanding of WordPress hooks, actions, filters, custom post types, taxonomies, and WordPress database structure.
• Experience with responsive web development.
• Knowledge of Git/GitHub/GitLab.
• Good debugging and problem-solving skills.

Good to Have

• Experience with Elementor, Gutenberg, WooCommerce, or other popular WordPress tools.
• Knowledge of WordPress security and performance optimization.
• Experience with website migration and hosting/server environments.
• Knowledge of SEO-friendly development practices.
• Familiarity with Laravel or React.js.
• Experience integrating payment gateways and third-party services
