Description

You will build and develop custom, scalable WordPress websites by translating design files into functional backend architecture and frontend code.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical planning and implementation of WordPress sites using WPVIP PHPCS standards.
• Translate Sketch or Adobe XD files into backend architecture and frontend code.
• Maintain and update existing websites to ensure stability and performance.
• Collaborate with creative and strategy teams to deliver precisely built web solutions.
• Implement and evaluate Google Analytics.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of professional experience in web development.
• Advanced PHP5 knowledge, including OOP principles, arrays, loops, and error logging.
• Expertise in semantic HTML and responsive CSS using progressive enhancement.
• Strong JavaScript skills, including syntax, debugging, and jQuery for UI interactions.
• WordPress development experience, including installation and custom site building.
• Proficiency with MySQL, including schema management and relational database principles.
• Experience with APIs and web services using SOAP and REST protocols.
• Familiarity with Linux/Mac terminal, Apache configuration, and SSL certificate installation.
• Understanding of MVC architectural patterns and JSON/XML data structures.

Preferred Skills

• Version control experience with Git or SVN.
• Experience with Sass, SCSS, Gulp, Grunt, or Bower.
• Knowledge of StudioPress Genesis framework, RegEx, NGINX, or Memcache.
