1. Pursuit Development and Presales Leadership
• Identify, qualify, and nurture Workday opportunities in collaboration with account teams, sales leaders, Workday alliance stakeholders, and industry SMEs.
• Lead discovery workshops to understand business drivers, current-state challenges, HCM maturity, transformation ambition, decision criteria, and competitive context.
• Define pursuit strategy, solution themes, win themes, differentiators, proof points, and value hypotheses for RFIs, RFPs, proactive proposals, and oral presentations.
• Orchestrate cross-functional pursuit teams, assign solution workstreams, manage dependencies and ensure timely, high-quality submissions.
• Participate in client meetings, executive briefings, solution defences, workshops, and negotiations as the senior Workday solution authority.
2. Workday Solution Architecture
• Own the end-to-end functional solution across Workday Human Capital Management, Recruiting, Compensation, Benefits, Time Tracking, Absence, Payroll and Talent, as applicable.
• Design integrated solution architectures spanning Workday business processes, security, reporting, analytics, integrations, data conversion, testing, deployment, and post-production support.
• Assess deployment options, localization requirements, global-versus-local design choices, integration patterns, and coexistence with enterprise applications.
• Ensure solutions are scalable, supportable, and aligned with Workday leading practices, client constraints, compliance expectations, and delivery governance.
• Embed responsible automation and AI opportunities, including Workday AI capabilities and complementary enterprise solutions, where they create credible business value.
3. Executive Presentations and Solution Storytelling
• Develop visually compelling, executive-ready presentations that connect the client challenge, transformation vision, target operating model, solution architecture, delivery roadmap and business case.
• Tailor messaging for C-suite executives, HR and IT leaders, procurement stakeholders, enterprise architects, and delivery teams.
• Create solution demonstrations, whiteboarding narratives, case studies, market perspectives, capability maps and transformation roadmaps.
• Present complex technical and functional concepts in concise, outcome-oriented language while responding confidently to client questions and objections.
4. Estimation, Commercials and Delivery Shaping
• Develop scope assumptions, work breakdown structures, implementation timelines, effort estimates, team models, deliverables, dependencies, and risk provisions.
• Collaborate with commercial and finance teams on pricing models, productivity assumptions, margin considerations, and contractual inputs.
• Conduct solution reviews and architecture assurance to verify completeness, feasibility, consistency, and traceability to requirements.
• Enable a disciplined transition from presales to delivery through documented assumptions, decisions, risks, commitments, and success measures.
5. Practice Development and Thought Leadership
• Create and maintain reusable proposal content, reference architectures, estimation models, demo scenarios, industry solutions, and pursuit playbooks.
• Monitor Workday product evolution, industry trends, competitor positioning, and emerging HR technology to strengthen solution relevance.
• Mentor solution consultants and functional leads, conduct knowledge sessions and raise the quality of solutioning across the practice.
• Represent the organization in client forums, webinars, internal communities, and alliance events, as appropriate
Must Have Technical/Functional Skills
• 12+ years of experience in enterprise HCM consulting, solution architecture, implementation, or transformation, including significant hands-on Workday experience.
• Proven success leading Workday presales, large pursuits, RFP responses, solution workshops, executive presentations, and oral defences.
• Deep functional understanding of Workday HCM and multiple related modules, with the ability to design cohesive cross-functional solutions.
• Experience shaping complex global or multi-country programs, including scope, roadmap, governance, integrations, data, security, testing, and deployment.
• Strong understanding of implementation methodologies, Agile delivery, operating-model design, AMS / production support, and value realization.
• Demonstrated ability to develop credible estimates, staffing models, assumptions, risks, and commercial inputs.
• Excellent presentation, facilitation, writing, negotiation and stakeholder-management skills, with confidence engaging senior executives.
• Bachelor’s degree in business, technology, human resources or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience
