You will act as a subject matter expert focusing on labor forecasting models and operational efficiency within a retail consulting context.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Model labor forecasting problems using statistical, machine learning, algorithmic, and data mining techniques.
• Analyze forecast variances to identify and mitigate key variance drivers.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to discover insights and improve operational efficiencies.
• Present complex analytical findings to senior leadership and non-technical audiences in a concise, actionable manner.
• Develop statistically grounded models that remain operationally explainable for business leaders.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience as a business analyst or in a related position.
• Proven experience in AI/ML-based labor forecasting within a major omnichannel retailer.
• Proficiency in advanced mathematics, statistics, and data science.
• Strong expertise in workforce management and labor forecasting modeling.
• Ability to apply various data sources and analytical techniques to solve high-impact business questions.
• Demonstrated business acumen and ability to drive issues to resolution independently.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Mathematics, Operations Research, Engineering, or a related field.

Preferred Skills

• Experience in retail consulting contexts.
