Yugabyte/Postgres Engineer

You will manage and optimize enterprise-scale Yugabyte deployments across multiple data centers and regions.

Responsibilities

• Configure Yugabyte for high availability, implementing replication, fault tolerance, and failover mechanisms.
• Own backup and restoration procedures, cluster provisioning, and rolling upgrades.
• Develop monitoring, alerting, and diagnostic systems to maintain cluster health.
• Troubleshoot complex database issues and enforce security mechanisms.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience with enterprise-scale Yugabyte deployments.
• Deep understanding of DBMS concepts including ACID, CAP, and consistency.
• Proficiency with the Unix command line.
• Ability to write code or scripts for test harnesses and database utilities.
• Experience with intra- and inter-data-center cluster management.
• Knowledge of automated cluster provisioning and health monitoring.

Preferred Skills

• Degree in any graduate field.
