Description

You will manage and maintain z/OS mainframe systems to ensure high reliability and availability.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Install, customize, and maintain IBM and ISV products, including regular maintenance (RSUs) and software upgrades.
• Perform system performance analysis, tuning, and debugging for z/OS and application workloads using RMF and SMF.
• Manage z/OS services including JES concepts, parallel sysplex/GDPS, catalog management, and PARMLIB configuration.
• Execute problem diagnostics, resolution, and storage capacity planning.
• Support CICS installations, upgrades, and related product maintenance.

Required Skills

• More than 9 years of experience in System Programming.
• Expertise in z/OS services, JES customization, and USS management.
• Proficiency with JCL, REXX, CLIST, and Modify Assembler EXITS.
• Hands-on experience with SMP/E, SQL, and DB2 utilities (online/offline, ZPARMS, logs, BSDS, DDF).
• Experience managing RACF, IMS, and MQ Series (WebSphere MQ).
• Knowledge of ISV products such as CA-View, CA-1, BMC Incontrol, and CA-7.
• Ability to use performance monitoring tools like SAS, MXG, CA-MICS, Strobe, and Omegamon.
• Familiarity with z/OS hardware, LPAR, and HMC.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with mainframe automation tools like Netview, OPS/MVS, SA z/OS, or Tivoli.
• SAS programming skills for MXG application maintenance.
