Description

Manage and maintain complex z/OS environments, ensuring high availability and system stability.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Administer z/Architectures, including GDPS/Sysplex setup and maintenance at an expert level.
• Execute SMP/E processes, UserMods, and POR procedures with strong automation.
• Perform disaster recovery setup, conduct DR drills, and manage hardware refreshes.
• Optimize system value through MIPS optimization, software rationalization, and specialty engine exploitation.
• Lead mainframe migration, version upgrades, and hardware refresh initiatives.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of experience in mainframe administration.
• Deep knowledge of z/OS, JES2, TSO/ISPF, DFSMS, and VTAM.
• Proficiency with SMP/E, UserMods, HMC, and HCD.
• Experience with IBM and ISV utilities, tools, and mainframe hardware peripherals.
• Proven track record in disaster recovery planning and execution.

Preferred Skills

• Experience in delivering value-add services like software rationalization.
• Strong background in mainframe migration and version upgrades.
