Description

You will manage and maintain z/OS environments and mainframe subsystems in Alpharetta, GA.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain IBM and non-IBM products using SMP/E.
• Support multi-system IBM mainframe Parallel Sysplex environments and GDPS.
• Manage z/OSMF functions, architecture, and facilities.
• Configure PARMLIB, subsystems, USS, GRS, SMF, RMF, WLM, and System Logger.
• Capture system dumps and diagnostic documentation while managing HMC settings.

Required Skills

• Expert knowledge of z/OS components and subsystems.
• Extensive experience with SMP/E tools.
• Hands-on experience with z/OSMF and Parallel Sysplex.
• Proficiency in PARMLIB configuration and USS setup.
• Experience configuring GRS, SMF, RMF, WLM, and System Logger.
• Ability to use REXX and CLIST languages.
• Skill in configuring and capturing system dumps and diagnostics.
• Strong documentation and presentation skills.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with storage management including DFSMS, RMM, and HSM CDS.
• Exposure to Zowe programming.
• Ability to use performance reports and metrics to identify improvement opportunities.
