Description

Manage z/OS systems programming tasks to ensure operational stability. You will implement customer requirements, perform root cause analysis, and maintain SLA standards.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute backup strategies and test plans for failure scenarios.
• Monitor system performance and define operational processes to meet SLA requirements.
• Audit existing processes to identify skill gaps and plan necessary training.
• Manage incidents and changes using standard management tools.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in mainframe systems programming.
• Deep knowledge of z/OS internals including JES2, SMS, and HSM.
• Experience with z/OS communications, specifically TCP/IP and VTAM.
• Proficiency in JCL, IBM Utilities (e.g., IEHGGENER), and REXX.
• Ability to program in COBOL and IBM Assembler.
• Experience with incident and change management tools.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent graduate level education.
