Description

You will develop and maintain networking software within the z/OS environment, focusing on low-level protocol implementation and optimization.

Responsibilities

• Implement and optimize TCP/IP layer 3 protocols, including IPv4 and IPv6.
• Develop networking software using C/C++ or similar procedural languages.
• Manage network security and communication protocols such as TLS and IPSec.
• Ensure protocol compliance with technical standards and specifications.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of professional experience in software development.
• Proficiency in C/C++ or other procedural programming languages.
• Deep technical knowledge of IPv6, including header formats, routing mechanisms, and auto-configuration.
• Solid understanding of IPv4 and ICMP.
• Working knowledge of TCP/IP networking stacks.
• Experience with TLS and IPSec protocols.
• Any graduate-level educational background.

Preferred Skills

• Experience developing TCP/IP networking code at the stack level.
• Familiarity with reading and interpreting IETF RFCs and standards documents.
• Experience developing software on z/OS using IBM Z proprietary languages.
