Description

Implement and maintain system automation solutions for z/OS environments, ensuring operational stability and configuration management.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Implement and configure NetView and System Automation for z/OS to support fully automated system configurations on IBM Z.
• Manage z/OS system startup, shutdown, and SMP/E processes.
• Write and maintain REXX scripts and manage the System Automation Policy Database (PDB).
• Execute z/OS automation migration projects and provide consultancy or support in a mainframe operations environment.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in a mainframe operations, support, or consultancy role.
• Deep knowledge of NetView for z/OS and System Automation for z/OS.
• Proficiency in JCL, TSO, and ISPF.
• Ability to write REXX code.
• Working knowledge of the System Automation Policy Database (PDB).
• Understanding of competing IBM mainframe automation products.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with z/OS Automation Migration Projects.
