Description

You will manage the installation, maintenance, and optimization of the z/OS operating system and its associated subsystems.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain z/OS, JES2/JES3, SMP/E, RACF, and TSO/ISPF.
• Manage and support z/OS subsystems including CICS, DB2, MQ, and IMS.
• Monitor system performance using RMF, SMF, and OMEGAMON to tune parameters and resource utilization.
• Administer storage management, including DASD, virtual storage, and I/O configurations.
• Develop REXX and JCL scripts to automate system management tasks and streamline operations.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of hands-on experience as a z/OS System Programmer.
• Deep knowledge of z/OS internals and SMP/E.
• Proficiency with JES2/JES3, RACF, TSO/ISPF, and SDSF.
• Experience administering CICS, DB2, IMS, MQ, and VTAM.
• Strong understanding of storage management and DASD.
• Ability to write automation scripts using REXX and JCL.
• Experience with workload management (WLM) and system exits.
