Description

You will manage and maintain z/OS operating systems and middleware in a 24x7x365 environment.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Install, customize, and maintain vendor and third-party software products.
• Configure security rules using RACF and coordinate Transaction Services interfaces.
• Monitor system performance and apply tuning adjustments to optimize throughput.
• Coordinate patches, fix packs, and upgrades to mitigate outages.
• Document new systems and compose technical bulletins regarding client impacts.

Required Skills

• Extensive experience with z/OS operating systems and subsystems.
• Hands-on experience with CICS TS installation and debugging/analysis.
• Proficiency with MQ and WebSphere middleware.
• Experience managing storage and third-party program products.
• Proven ability to perform systems administration and software installation.
• Ability to analyze client-reported problems and collaborate with vendors.
• At least four years of progressive programming experience, including two years of systems programming.

Preferred Skills

• Knowledge of distributed systems and basic networking.
• Experience with middleware technologies.
