Key Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end z/OS platform architecture, stability, and service delivery across MVS, JES2, Sysplex, and LPAR environments
• Govern HCD/IODF configurations ensuring scalability and compliance while leading performance tuning and capacity planning initiatives
• Define and execute z/OS upgrade strategy, RSU maintenance roadmap, and establish SMP/E processes and standards
• Lead ISV product lifecycle management including upgrades and vendor coordination for standardized, secure platform management
• Act as escalation point for Sev1/Sev2 incidents while leading end-to-end Root Cause Analysis and preventive action planning
• Define and lead Disaster Recovery strategy including DR drills, failover testing, and validation to ensure business continuity readiness
• Drive adoption of automation frameworks and system-level automation aligned to AIOps initiatives for predictive operations
• Act as trusted technical advisor to clients, leading discussions on stability, modernization, and risk management

Qualifications

• 12-15+ years of experience in z/OS system programming with proven expertise in MVS and JES2 architecture
• Extensive experience with Sysplex environments, LPAR management, and hands-on expertise in HCD/IODF configuration
• Proficiency in SMP/E for software installation, maintenance, and patch management with strong experience in z/OS upgrades
• Proven experience in Incident Management, Root Cause Analysis, and Disaster Recovery planning and execution
• Demonstrated experience in automation to improve operational efficiency and reliability
• Experience managing large enterprise mainframe environments with exposure to multi-client/global delivery models
• ITIL certification preferred with domain experience in Banking/Insurance considered an advantage
