Description

You will maintain and manage the mainframe z/OS operating system and its associated software stack.

Responsibilities

• Manage ongoing maintenance, including installation, patching, upgrades, and administration of z/OS, storage systems, and UNIX System Services.
• Perform continuous maintenance and upgrades for DB2 and related mainframe storage.
• Execute program product installations and manage systems software products such as database, transaction server, and security management.
• Provide production off-hour coverage and support periodic weekend implementations.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of experience working with z/OS, JES2, SMP/E, TSO, and IOCP/HCD.
• Direct experience with mainframe CPU installs as a systems programmer consultant.
• Hands-on experience with VTAM and TCP/IP.
• Proficiency with basic IBM utilities including IDCAMS and IEFBR14.
• Working knowledge of IBM virtual tape systems and Unix System Services.
• Experience managing enterprise-wide, large-scale implementations.
• Bachelor's degree or 10+ years of experience in a relevant technical field.

Preferred Skills

• Working knowledge of CICS, IMS, DB2, and AFP printing.
• Experience using monitoring tools such as OMEGAMON.
