Description

You will manage and maintain complex z/OS environments.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Code and maintain PROCs and JCL.
• Develop custom ISPF dialogs and panels.
• Utilize SMP/E for z/OS software installation, customization, and maintenance.
• Collect and diagnose packet traces across the system.
• Support global computer operations teams running z/OS.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience supporting z/OS environments.
• Expertise in z/OS software maintenance using SMP/E.
• Proficiency in coding COBOL.
• Deep knowledge of VTAM, TCP/IP, OSPF, FTP, SMTP, MVS, CICS, MQ, and DB2.
• Familiarity with IBM Z server hardware, DS8K disk arrays, and TS7700 virtual tape systems.
• Expertise in configuring and managing z/OS TCP/IP stack components (e.g., OSPF, FTP, SMTP, ICMP).
• Strong understanding of RACF standards, keyrings, and security principles (SOX, PCI, GDPR).
• Experience managing storage using DFSMS, DFHSM, and DFDSS.
