  Job Description
DUTY/RESPONSIBILITY:

*Answer calls placed to the Information Systems Department;
*Record, and properly categorize, all calls in the IS Helpdesk ticketing system;
*Perform first-level diagnosis and resolution for end-user hardware and software issues as they are reported to either the IS Helpdesk line or submitted by users to the ticketing system;
*Utilize IS support tools and technology to assist end-users whenever possible to close Level 1 Helpdesk work;
*Monitor the IS Helpdesk voicemail and transcribe those messages into the IS ticketing system, and resolving or escalating those requests if possible;
*Maintain Hardware inventory and Software licenses;
*Provide customer updates on ticket status to ensure communication between customers and the IS Department.
*Other administrative duties as assigned by the Director of Information Systems.

CRITICAL KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:
--Knowledge of MS Office, Microsoft Windows, operation of desktop and laptop computers in a networked environment.
--Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
--Ability to work together in a team environment.
--Fundamental customer service skills.
--Ability to organize one's work is critical.
