Key responsibilities: monitor all key systems using tools provided and follow procedures when issues arise Monitor all live events and follow procedures when issues arise.
Answer technical support queries from clients and customers in accordance with company policies and procedures.
Ensure that operations function in accordance with processes and frameworks necessary for the effective functioning of the technology department as a whole.
Carry out small projects using the PTV content management toolkit.
Carry out quick fixes for known issues, escalate issues in line with policies and procedures and maintain ownership of issues through to their resolution.
Document issues and their resolution.
Ensure that appropriate support processes and procedures in are in place and adhered to.
Apply common sense when procedures do not accommodate particular circumstances.
Constantly strive to improve company performance and processes.
Carry out other tasks requested by senior management where these are agreed to be reasonable and achievable.
Contribute to a positive view of PTV's technical competence.
Requirements: experience in a tech support or monitoring role.
Working knowledge of Unix, SQL and Web technologies eg HTML, CSS JavaScript.
Have worked in a high volume Internet environment.
