  Job Description
We are an equal opportunities employer who is going through an exciting time with more and more challenging projects and substantial growth.

We're looking for an imaginative software developer with experience of working with Oracle Financials as well as very strong OO skills, such as C++ or Java. You will be keen to take projects through their complete life-cycle: analysis, specification, design, development, testing and support.

It would be most advantageous if you have used Oracle Business Functions to talk to the eBusiness database.

Essential requirements:

• A good honours degree (or equivalent) in Computer Science,
• Electronic Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, or an IT-related subject.
• First rate development experience using object oriented programming languages such as C++ or Java.
• Solid Oracle Financials experience.
• First-rate object oriented design skills.
• Knowledge of relational database design and a complete grasp of SQL.
• The ability to communicate clearly and effectively with fellow developers in English both orally and in writing.

Preferred requirements:

• Knowledge of JD Edwards.
• Exposure to C#.
• Experience of working both individually and in a small team.

We are seeking someone with a strong academic background who possesses self-discipline and the ability to work with the minimum of supervision. You will also need to possess a good team spirit and be deadline oriented.

Please list your salary requirements and your availability in your covering email.

Bonuses are payable on top of salary quoted dependant on meeting set targets.

• Strong Oracle Financials exposure.
• Strong OO design skills.
• In depth experience of coding in SQL.
• Strong academic background.

The Role

The role is based in our Ealing office, with the emphasis on the design and development of additions to our growing product suite. Some projects are an individual's responsibility, whilst others are shared amongst a team of two or three. The latter is becoming more common as the company grows,

So the ability to express oneself clearly and assertively, whilst respecting and considering the contributions of others, is needed. Training is conducted internally, on an as-needed basis, and self-guided research and learning is a recognized, ongoing part of the job. Our areas of expertise are such that a joiner is certain to learn a lot, about financial reporting and ERP systems, relational and OLAP database technology, client/server architecture, and more.

The role is not customer-facing in principle, though if the candidate is keen and well suited, there are opportunities for that too. There is scope for off-site and flexible working time arrangements once a new joiner has settled in, subject to their project's team-work requirements.

Profit-based and target-based bonus schemes are in operation, and a share-option scheme is under review. Advancement in both responsibilities and remuneration is based more on merit than organizational hierarchy.
Anticipated salary is £25,000 to £45,000, according to relevant experience and skills.
