  Job Description
Purpose of Position
To provide systems engineering support, in the area of 'Tactical C4I', to programmes/bids as the need demands.

Under the guidance of the engineering lead, assist with one or more of the following activities:

- User requirement specification
- System requirement specification
- System design specification
- Subsystem specification
- Procurement specification
- System test planning, design and execution
- System acceptance
- Systems engineering support
- Engineering reviews


- Systems development experience in the Defence Communication and Information Systems/Tactical C4I Systems arena.
- Knowledge/understanding of data network and communication system technology, sufficient to enable specification of those aspects of the system.
- Good understanding and experience of systems engineering process, including requirements management, systems analysis/design, system integration and test.
- Good documentation skills, with experience in the preparation of systems documentation, including system requirement specifications, system architecture specifications, system design specifications, system test plans, system test specifications.
- Experienced in the use of systems engineering tools/methodologies, including: requirements management tools (DOORS desirable), system design tools (MODAF/UML/ARTISAN desirable).
- Ability to think at the systems level.
- Self motivated
- Excellent English communication skills (oral, written, presentational), organizational skills, analyses and decision making skills, good interpersonal skills, sense of responsibility.
