  Job Description
Mandatory skills and experience
A graduate with no commercial experience would be considered. Such applicants should have achieved A/B grade A levels and possess a 2i or 1st Class degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or similar subject.

However the preferred option is to recruit an experienced developer. Candidates who offer commercial experience do not need to be degree educated (though it is desirable). Such individuals will need:

*Sound SQL programming experience
*Software development tools and deployment procedures.
*Knowledge of code repositories, version control, bug tracking utilities and build procedures.
*SQL reporting tools.

Desirable skills and experience

*Experience of Oracle administration in a Development/Test/QA environment.
*Used and maintained software deployment packages and processes.
*Data Warehouse concepts.
*Knowledge of database concepts, structures and administration.
*Automated environment builds and software deployment tools.
*Familiar with software development lifecycles.
*Shell scripting

Personal Attributes
*Excellent communication skills and team ethos.
*Self-motivated, self-starter.
*Good documentation skills.
*Able to build communications with Development, Testing and Operational teams.
