  Job Description
This role is a support desk role, working in a team supporting our Head Office and Remote Workers. You primarily will be responsible for the support (software and hardware) of all PCs, laptops (including remote) across the group, however the role will also include the following :-

• Learning our bespoke internal software.
• Managing the deployment of software to the desktops across the Group.
• Creation and management of user accounts within the Group's active directory.
• Support of users who have access to a BlackBerry device.
• Management of our backup systems.
• Management of Active Directory objects, including synchronisation.
• Evaluate, install and support new and existing hardware and software.
• Write detailed documentation for software and hardware installation processes.
• Knowledge of a Meridian Option 11 phone-switch beneficial (creation, deletion, redirect of phone accounts etc).
• Basic operational training to all users, including Directors.

Skills and Experience:

Minimum of 2 years experience working in a corporate PC support environment.
Sound knowledge of networking in a switched environment, all Windows/ XP components including Office applications (XP to 2007) and Exchange 2003.

In addition strong knowledge of Active Directory in a Windows 2003 environment also ArcServe/Veritas Backup software using HP Ultrium, DLT and SDLT tape storage devices.
