  Job Description
Roles and Responsibilities

* Provide technology support: Install servers, routers, networks, switches and system hardware; troubleshoot, maintain, upgrade, and provide solutions to complex hardware/software problems; alert management, help desk team, and other IT groups when sensitive issues arise or major problems are suspected; minimize client productivity loss caused by technology outages, and provide necessary infrastructure for client to meet their business needs.
* Ensure a stable performance environment for enterprise systems: Monitor and analyze problems that occur in the corporate network, identifying and solving problems as rapidly as possible; provide critical and essential service to locations enterprise wide.
* Administer network workstations, utilizing one or more TCP/ IP or non-TCP/ IP networking protocols
* Investigate user problems, identify their source, determine possible solutions, test and implement solutions.
* Install, configure, and maintain Ethernet networks, network cabling, and other related equipment, devices, and systems; adds or upgrades and configures hardware
* Plan and implement network security, including building firewalls, applying cryptography to network applications, managing host security, file permissions, backup and disaster recovery plans, file system integrity, and adding and deleting users.
* Troubleshoot networks, systems, and applications to identify and correct malfunctions and other operational difficulties.
* Identify utilization patterns and their effect on operation/ system availability and performance expectations.
* Anticipate communication and networking problems and implement preventive measures.
* Ensure timely user notification of maintenance requirements and effects on system availability.
* Maintain confidentiality with regard to the information being processed, stored or accessed by the network.
* Perform on-site and remote technical support.
* Assist in the organization and inventory of all hardware and software resources.
* Maintains excellent communication with the IT Manager on all tasks and projects.
* Creates and maintains good technical documentation.
* Provides emergency on-call support on a rotating schedule.
* Performs other duties as assigned.
