  Job Description
This role is to provide support and maintenance to both end user clients and the IT infrastructure. This includes installing, diagnosing, repairing, maintaining and upgrading all IT hardware and equipment to ensure optimal performance.

The person will also troubleshoot problem areas (in person, by telephone or via email) in a timely and accurate fashion and provide end-user assistance where required. Additionally, experience of CAD Administration is essential.

This individual will work within the Infrastructure Management team with the requirement to participate in the client call process also.

Key responsibilities include:

„X Record, track, and document the Service Desk request problem-solving process,
„X Including all successful and unsuccessful decisions made, and actions taken, through to final resolution.
„X Prioritize and schedule actions to solve problems.
„X Deliver required service levels according to company policies.
„X Accurately document instances of hardware failure, repair, installation, and removal.
„X Perform fixes at the desktop and server level, including installing and upgrading software,
„X Implementing file backups, and configuring systems and applications.
„X Perform on-site analysis, diagnosis, and resolution of complex hardware problems and recommend
„X And implement corrective solutions, including off-site repair as needed.
„X Install, configure, test, maintain, monitor, and troubleshoot end user client hardware, networked peripheral devices,
„X And networking hardware products.
„X Perform CAD Administrator tasks as required to maintain the CAD systems in use.
„X Be responsible for intrusion detection system monitoring and resolution.
„X Install and configure relevant network components
„X To ensure database access as well as database consistency and integrity.
„X Respond to and resolve database access and performance issues.
„X Monitor database system details within the database,
„X Including stored procedures and execution time, and implement efficiency improvements.
„X Design and implement redundant systems, policies, and procedures for disaster recovery
„X And data archiving to ensure effective protection and integrity of data assets.
„X Monitor, optimize and allocate physical data storage for database systems.
„X Plan and coordinate data migrations between systems.
„X Develop, implement, and maintain change control and testing processes for modifications to databases.
„X Create, or support creation of, required reports in response to business user needs.
