  Job Description
Position Summary:

* Manages all IT personnel, systems, infrastructure, networking, telecommunications, security, compliance, end-user support and 24x7 operations.

* Develop team, recruit and/or contract with additional IT resources as needed. Provide ongoing leadership and management of IT/Operations team.

* Manage the acquisition, installation, maintenance and performance of all technologies employed within the department. Develop and maintain capacity/growth plan.

* Select and recommend preferred vendors and manage vendor relationships and SLAs. Purchase and negotiate contracts for IT hardware, software and maintenance items.

* Develop and manage security, business continuity, disaster recovery and regular backup of company information systems, including needs analysis, design, plan, implementation, and documentation.

* Recommend, document and implement policies and procedures within the department including change control, release procedures, software/OS standardization, internal and external service level contracts, on-call/pager rotation, monitoring, etc.


* BS in Information Systems, Computer Science or other Engineering or Scientific discipline, Masters preferred.

* Strong knowledge of networking technologies and protocols, Unix system administration, as well as storage and backup solutions. Experience managing Exchange Server and Active Directory (or LDAP) in an enterprise environment.

* Demonstrated experience in managing both small and large IT groups.

* Strong ability to prioritize, organize, coordinate and execute simultaneous tasks and projects.

* Excellent people management and communication skills.
