  Job Description
Skill Set :
• Strong understanding of database structures, theories, principles, and practices
• 4-5 years of working with Microsoft SQL Server 2000/ 2005 and 2008
• Support multiple SQL 2000, SQL2005 and SQL2008 Server databases
• Understanding of QUALYS guard tool for vulnerability remediation
• Understanding of ARCHER tool to upload evidences against QUALYS items is also a plus.
• A strong understanding of SOX, PCI and PII audits.
• SQL Servers patching (Service packs and one-off patches) and upgrades
• SQL Server Express experience is a plus
• Must be a team player willing to make every effort to make the team a success.
• Must possess effective verbal and writing skills and strong diagnostic and problem solving ability
• SQL Server Certification is an advantage

Experience Required :
At least 5 years of relevant experience.
Roles and Responsibilities :
1. Participate in vulnerability management and remediation process
2. Manage the remediation of identified risks
3. Implementation of the overall security strategy, policies, and procedures
4. Coordinate the implementation of technical controls to support and enforce defined security policies
5. Manage the day-to-day activities of threat and vulnerability management, identify risk tolerances, recommend treatment plans and communicate information about residual risk.
6. Reviewed policies and standards, and produced necessary metrics and reports as required
7. Ensure audit trails, system logs and other monitoring data sources are reviewed periodically and are in compliance with policies and audit requirements
8. Communicate unresolved security exposures, misuse or noncompliance situations to management
9. Design, test, evaluate and plan the implementation of new or updated information security hardware or software, and analyze its impact on the existing environment; administer security tools.
10. Coordinate with regulators, internal/external audit and issues owners to close all open issues
11. Assist IT staff in understanding and responding to security audit failures reported by auditors
12. Plan, coordinate and implement the missing patches.
