  Job Description
Position Overview :-

The Field Technician is responsible for installing, maintaining, trouble-shooting and repairing computers, networks, and computer peripheral equipment for clients, as well as providing a range of IT solutions to these clients.

The Technician may be required to provide training to users in effective use of applications and make recommendations regarding hardware and software acquisitions.

On a daily basis the Field Technician is also responsible for completing work orders, process documentation and maintenance reports.


Skill Requirements :

* Troubleshoot and support local and remote users on Windows-based network applications
* Familiarity with back-up technologies
* Network switching and routing fundamentals
* Windows NT, 2000, XP Workstation
* Ensure all computer systems are up to date with security patches, virus software and updates, and application patches.
* Troubleshoot basic network problems
* Troubleshoot and administer peripherals, printers, fax machines, and scanners
* Maintain back-up strategy and back-up systems
* Exposure to multiple operating systems
* Create and maintain documentation as it relates to network configuration, network mapping, processes, and service records
