  Job Description
Designs Manufacturing Stress Screening protocols to apply appropriate stress conditions to precipitate Out-Of-Box and Infant Mortality failures based on recognized national standards.

Conducts Field Reliability Data Analysis when requested to evaluate the effectiveness of the preceding Reliability program and to assess the reliability impact of reusing components on new designs.

Uses advanced reliability tools and statistical methods when needed such as statistical confidence, hypothesis testing, goodness of fit tests, analysis of variance, Bayesian statistics, Poisson Process, Markov Diagrams, Petri-Nets.

Applies Six-Sigma methodology to reliability problem solving and routinely uses Six-Sigma and other statistical problem solving tools such as Quality Function Deployment, Process Mapping, Cause and Effect Diagrams, Measurement System Analysis, Process Capability Studies, Process Control Charts, Full Factorial and Taguchi Design Of Experiments.

Develops complex system failure and uptime models using Monte Carlo simulation.

Creates complex custom databases for reliability data analysis. Automates the user interface and functionality to allow others in the department to easily use the databases.

Education and/or Experience
Bachelor's degree (BEng/BSc) in an Engineering discipline from a four-year college or university.

At least eight (8) years related mechanical reliability experience. Equivalent combination of an Associate Degree in an Engineering discipline and more than twenty years related experience.

Other Qualifications
Member of a professional Engineering Institution. Professional Engineer (PE) or equivalent desirable. Certified Reliability Engineer desirable. Able to travel up to 20% of the time.
