  Job Description
The successful candidate will have experience writing operating procedures and/or user manuals for a Certification and Accreditation (CandA) effort located in Washington, DC. The main responsibility of this position is assisting in the development of new CandA templates and procedures and editing existing procedures pertaining to the CandA process.

The successful candidate must have the demonstrated ability to work independently and in a team environment. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal are required. Previous editing experience is a must.

Skill Sets:

Create, maintain and update Certification and Accreditation documents based on NIST, OMB, FIPS, HSPD12, guidelines regulations and procedures.

Design and develop documentation and materials for IT Security training.

Meet assigned deadlines.

Maintain a thorough knowledge of federal government regulations and new procedural changes, and incorporate changes into existing documentation.

Assist team members as needed to meet deadlines.

Candidate should have a strong background in the creation of Certification and Accreditation documentation, i.e. SSP, CP, STandE, Risk Assessments, Requirements Traceability Matrix, etc.

Advanced level experience with MS Word (styles, templates, etc.)

Good working knowledge of the rest of the MS Office Suite including Visio.

Experience with Adobe Acrobat.

Must have excellent writing skills, spelling, grammar and communication skills.

Strong attention to detail.

Candidate should know how to write memos and assemble a CandA package.

Candidate should possess 2-4 years in creating technical documentation and Certification and Accreditation knowledge and be able to pass a state and local background check.
