  Job Description
Engineering Management Expertise in:

• Have engineering management expertise in EDA Tools, Methodology/flow, and Process technology
• Knowledge of Synopsys tools a must
• Knowledge of Cadence and Mentor tools are plus
• Providing project management support for EDA organization
• Organize and lead EDA vendor tool review meeting and inter departmental meetings
• Set project milestones, define project tasks, and processes and allocate resources
• Manage and drive EDA vendors deliverables, tool debugs, bug fixes, and software patches, etc
• Develops control systems and methods to accurately monitor and measure program progress
• Identify risks, develop and maintain risk matrices with mitigation and contingency strategies
• Develop schedules milestones, processes etc
• Communicates project status, issues, and recommended mitigation plans to cross-functional teams
• Mange and drive methodology and flow development base on technology node

Job Function Summary:

• Manages IC product developments from initial specification to final delivery
• Efficient collaboration and coordination across multiple development sites and cross-functional departments to establish and deliver projects on time and budget
• Project estimation, planning, schedule, resource management and prioritization. This includes developing and maintain program master schedules and milestones, budgets, work plans and resource requirements.
• Improving process and tools methodologies

Job Responsibilities:

• The project manager will organize and lead interdepartmental meetings (i.e. leads meetings with contracts, legal, engineering, manufacturing, technical publications and/or product support), to set project milestones, define project tasks, establish program policies and processes and allocate resources.
• Develops control systems and methods to accurately monitor and measure program progress.
• Troubleshoots program issues and helps to develop alternative program tasks, schedules, milestones, processes etc. to resolve program issues.
• Identify potential problems for each internal department, identify risks, then develop and maintain risk matrices with mitigation and contingency strategies.
• Communicates project status, issues, and recommended mitigation plans to cross-functional core and executive teams.
• May assist in the development and review of product technical documentation and/or end user manuals.
• May interface with customers or suppliers directly on a regular basis throughout the project.


• Minimum of 8 years in semiconductor industry.
• Knowledge of full lifecycle IC project management - from spec, architecture design, implementation, and post-silicon validation and test
• Engineering management expertise in at least one of the following areas: SoC Design, Power Management, VI (post-silicon verification), Product Engineering, Test Engineering, IP Development, DFT, Multimedia
• BS or MS degree in Electrical Engineering
• Project Management Institute (PMI) certified desirable
• Tools – Microsoft Project, PowerPoint, Excel, Word, SharePoint, Visio, ClearQuest, ClearCase, Web Page, etc.
