  Job Description
Nature and Scope:

This position will create a pool of engineering and RandD resources and effectively direct them for supporting the product and technology development projects that are necessary to fulfill the strategic vision and objectives of the Flowserve across the sectors. The individual must possess the ability to oversee and simultaneously direct multiple projects assigned to FCEC from various sectors/ BUs.

The position and function must be able to prioritize the request for resources in support of these projects, as well as cultivate and develop a pool of skilled and qualified managers to run them.

This position will require moderate to significant travel to promote FCEC within Flowserve.

Principal Accountabilities:

Perform administrative tasks related to local statutory requirements, staffing, performance evaluations, compensation, career paths, training etc.
Identify special talents and effectively utilize these talents for product and technology development
Demonstrate leadership qualities by providing able guidance to the associates and offer them the best possible work environment
Solicit work from other Flowserve Business Units consistent with strategic objectives of FCEC and deliver that on time and within budget by maintaining appropriate technical quality and completeness of engineering deliverables
Embrace project management skills, allocate and manage resources through project management tool.
Shall work towards establishing FCEC as a corporate-wide center of excellence for Technology development including materials, electronics, software and mechatronics etc.
Ensures that appropriate individuals are assigned from the FCEC to act as Team Leads for approved projects, and that they adequately plan and schedule project activities based on available resources within FCEC, while looking for opportunities to leverage common technologies, components, and skill sets across the business units
Ensure that approved projects are integrated into the corporate budgeting process, and that funds earmarked for product and technology development within the budgets are managed accordingly
Personally execute special projects as assigned by leadership team.


1. Minimum 15 years of experience in a technical or engineering management position, preferably from similar to valves portfolio.
2. Graduate degree in Engineering is mandatory. Post Graduate in Engineering is preferred.
3. Previous experience in dealing within a multinational organization.
