  Job Description
We are currently working alongside a leading multi-disciplinary Engineering organisation with regard to the growth of their Project Controls teams in Manchester. We are assisting with the recruitment of an experienced Estimator/QS, following the winning of various recent projects across the Power and Petrochem sectors.

Our customer's EMEA Project Controls team are experiencing an exciting increase in workload and they are looking to add to their highly successful team with an experienced Estimator / QS.

We anticipate that this role will have the following tasks and responsibilities across a range of projects:
*producing and analysing Bills of Quantities.
*sustaining the tendering process and conduct negotiations.
*preparing estimations and programmes to assist in scheduling work.
*liaising with clients, suppliers and personnel in other departments.
*reviewing construction drawings and other documentation to prepare time, cost, materials and labour forecasts.
*measuring effectiveness of products and services associated with the given projects.
*continually develop and establish cost reduction.
*maintain a strong directory of suppliers and contractors.

We believe that the successful candidate for this position will ideally have experience of estimating on complex projects in the Power and/or Petrochem sectors.
We feel that they will hold the following skills, knowledge and experience:
*Estimator/QS with Heavy Engineering project experience.
*experience of working on Industrial/Power and Energy/Mining projects.
*have a level-headed, diplomatic approach to working.
*the ability to build a rapport with a broad variety of clients, contractors and colleagues.
