  Job Description
The Role:

The NPI Support Engineer role is responsible for working with Contract Electronic Manufactures on the development of ICT/FCT Equipment to achieve the highest test coverage and quality assurance levels.

They will provide input into the design for test reviews and liaise with the RandD team to ensure test coverage is met in line with industry standards.

The main responsibilities are:

Completing Design for Manufacture and Design for Test reviews of PCBA designs and advice on best practise giving constructive feedback.

Auditing of the Contract Electronic Manufacturer's (CEM) end to end processes.

Work alongside the CEM's in developing best practise In-Circuit Tests and Functional Circuit Tests fixture designs.

Auditing of In-circuit Testing and Functional Circuit Testing (ICT/FCT) fixtures for the production of PCBA's.

Analyse and make improvements to the test coverage of PCBA's through influencing designs and improving the ICT/FTC processes.

Electronic design and development of manufacturing equipment, including electronic PCB layout design and making suggested changes to improve efficiency.

Provide support for technical manufacturing equipment issues both internally and externally

The Candidate:

They successful candidate will educated to Degree level or equivalent within an electronic based subject. They will have a good knowledge of ICT/FTC test processes and have previous experience of auditing external electronic suppliers. They will well versed in PCBA design and layout and ideally have some knowledge of PAD's DX Designer. They will be a strong communicator capable of influencing and persuading others and they will be able to work autonomously.
