As one of the global market leaders in the design, manufacture, installation and service of automated material handling systems and related services, our Client has an excellent reputation in the market for reliable project and service delivery, innovation, customer focus and strong market awareness. Key markets include automation for parcel and postal sorting solutions and automated warehouse distribution centres.

The Company is experiencing an unprecedented period of growth in the UK and as such a vacancy has arisen for a Project Manager to join the Birmingham based office.

Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Project Manager will be an integral part of the established team with an overall remit for successful project execution including direction, completion and financial outcome.

The PM develops the plan for managing each project, establishing critical success factors and defining project milestones. The PM will be the first point of contact for the customer, you will establish a positive and open relationship ensuring the contract is reviewed and understood and managed.

The successful candidate will be a self-starter motivated by the success of the Project. You will be well versed in cradle to grave project management cycles ensuring that project plans are executed. The PM will lead site reviews and ensure that CDM systems are in place and managed throughout the project lifecycle. You will have an excellent grasp of Health and Safety Management with working knowledge relating to CE marking and applicable European Standards.

Educated to Degree level in a Project Management or Engineering discipline, ideally with an APMP qualification. You will have proven practice of managing multiple projects within the Construction, Engineering or Manufacturing environment. Knowledge of Primavera PM software is advantageous. You will possess a good "rounded" knowledge of construction/mechanical engineering including MEICA principals. You will understand the fundamentals of engineering with the ability to interpret drawings, have good knowledge of TandC's (Ideally MF1), contractual/commercial awareness and an understanding of CDM requirements. You will have strong data analysis and problem solving skills, along with excellent communication and presentation skills.
