Technical Responsibilities:
File Server administration and installation
Mail Server administration and installation (where appropriate)
Server cluster administration and installation (where appropriate)
Administration of Storage Area Networks (where appropriate)
Installation and troubleshooting of print servers and printing equipment
User creation (where applicable) and administration
Desktop administration and installation
1st Line/ 2nd Line Support
Network design principles and troubleshooting
Backup administration and installation
Corporate Software administration and installation
Departmental technical software administration and installation
Administration of asset management procedures
Hardware diagnostics and troubleshooting
VPN setup and troubleshooting
Local telephone system administration (where appropriate)
WAN and Voice (intermediate) troubleshooting
Maintain and apply Departmental standards for all system setups as directed by the IT Operations Manager
Hardware Asset Management and tracking of leased and owned assets
Software Asset Management to track installations of licenced software and ensure all applicable policies have been met
