  Job Description
Fancy some career acceleration? Fantastic market-leading company seeks an Application Development Analyst.

The role is based in Birmingham, but occasionally client requests may require on-site presence, therefore it is important for the candidate to be flexible.

Required competencies:

• The core technical skills for the role are a high level of proficiency in the Intersystems Cache/Ensemble technology stack, with particular focus on Mumps / Cache Object Script programming within and object oriented framework

• Also advantageous would be a working knowledge of Java, JSP, Javascript, SQL, XML, Web Services, and Web / Application Server technologies (in particular Apache / Tomcat).

• Candidates must have the ability to work under pressure by meeting project delivery deadlines for clients and managing multiple concurrent work tasks

• This is a client facing role and so candidates must be able to engage with contacts at all levels within the customer organisation. Excellent communication skills both written and verbal are therefore required.

• The role involves a significant degree of systems analysis and solution design in response to client requirements. Candidates must then be able to document the results of these activities by the production of high quality client facing documents such as functional and technical specifications.

Experience / other requirements:

All candidates are expected to be client facing and able to engage with contacts at all levels within the customer organisation. Excellent communication skills both written and verbal are therefore required.

Required computer skills:

In addition to the specifics noted above, candidates should be competent users of Unix operating systems and Microsoft Office products such as Outlook, Word and Excel, Project and PowerPoint.

Education:
Ideally to degree level but not essential
